Millefiori also known as 1000 flowers is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative flowerlike patterns on glassware.
Millefiori is created by coating a glass rod with layers of different coloured glass which produces the intricate Millefiori design. The rod is furnace heated to fuse the layers of glass, and after cooling is then sliced.
These pieces are used in the design of jewellery, each being one of a kind.
